Winter Solstice Wishes....

Winter Solstice Greetings — warm wishes for peace and light during the longest night.

Dear Keepers of the Sun, the Stars, and Mother Earth,

Let us come together in shared presence to honor the space we hold for ourselves and for all sentient beings — a quiet celebration marking the closing of one season and the gentle opening of the next. For those who live in northern lands, this is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year — a sacred time of turning, rest, and rebirth.

From a place of deep gratitude for all that surrounds me, my inner, authentic spirit speaks gently. My dearest child, my loving child, my bright star, my divine one — be one with God, your Inner Spirit that always calling you, always with you, lovingly guiding you back to your authentic path.

Lift your gaze into the darkest night: you are bathed in the light of countless stars. Even on the coldest of nights, you are securely nestled in the loving womb. You are never truly alone; you are always with your tribes — simply open your heart and remain still for a moment. The small, sincere smile you offer today can raise someone’s future toward light. As ever, we support one another to rise, together, onward and upward.

Be still a little longer while the Sun pauses for those three days. Ancient spiritual teachings remind us: "He was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." Stay close to your inner God or Goddess, and joyfully prepare for your own ascent in the company of family, friends, and beloved tribes.

Wishing you and your loved ones many warm blessings this winter season.

Until our next meet,

Makiko

PS: As a novice gardener, this is also an excellent time to sow cold-hardy native plants and watch them establish. Have you done any winter sowing? I look forward to hearing about your experience and stories at our next get-together.
